Without giving away any of the plot the star of this film has to be Baby Groot, he makes the film full of humour amiss the chaos that surrounds him, the music is again an important part of the film and the tape that Peter plays is Awesome Mixtape 2 but his walkman is destroyed during one of his battles. The plot wasn’t something I was expecting but it worked and with the humour added to the film it wasn’t too intense and the Guardians weren’t just have 1 issue to deal with but a few though even with the death of one of the original characters it still portrays a good ending and of course you have to stay for the mid and end credits scenes and also you have to keep an eye on the credits for some more humour. You can’t help but love Baby Groot and it’s weird that for a character that only says “I am Groot” (Vin Diesel must have spent a long time on his lines!) he is the star and comes to the rescue at least twice but the first battle scene is the scene that is to me the stand out, though there is another scene where he is with Rocket that also stands out where Rocket is showing him the buttons to press but Groot keeps saying the wrong one. There is a couple of storylines also developing with Gamora one with Nebula and you start to get a feeling for their relationship and I look forward to this developing along with her relationship with Peter in the next film.

If you liked the first film you will love this, even if you’ve not seen the first film (you should) then this is definitely worth a watch even if is just for Baby Groot. I can’t really fault this, it’s different to other Marvel films but this is a good thing. 9/10
